Wednesday Caption

Here's one of our old favourites. This was taken in the early days of Bright Beehive as a company and by Nick as a beekeeper.

This is one of the thousands of bees that Nick has. What you are not able to see here is the nervousness I had when dealing with these wondrous beasts. I had a fear of bees which has largely subsided over the past couple of years.

I particularly love this photo. (Shame I didn't shave that day.)

Special thanks to Andy and Peter for last week's entries.

Happy First Birthday Bright Beehive!

Saturday marked the first anniversary of Bright Beehive. I am glad to report that we have had a very fruitful first year of operation considering we have started up in the grips of a global recession. Also it seems that, despite political and economic uncertainty, there has been an increasing keenness for people to see how they can make Social Media work for their business.

We can report successful relationships that have grown from organisations from the following sectors:

  • Financial
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Education
  • Property
  • Manufacturing
  • Marketing
  • Media
  • and other SME organisations.

We wish to thank all of our clients, suppliers and partners for making the past year a very enjoyable and productive time and very much look forward to strengthening these relationships and making new ones in the future.

Hello world!

Nick and I have spent some time trying to come up with a name we both liked. We were set on Social Side but then realised the domain socialside.com was gone. Then we were going for Social Slant - I even bought socialside.com - but we gave it second thoughts after Euan Semple suggested it might age badly. Then looked at Glass Beehive but again the domain was gone. Eventually we both agreed with Bright Beehive. So without any hesitation I hereby open this Bright Beehive blog. And god bless all who sail in it.
